SIX HUNDRED SAPLINGS PLANTED IN BANGALORE SOUTH IN A DAY

Bangalore , 28-10-2011(Friday) : Trees for Free in association with Magnifique Group of Educational Institutions and Minhaj Nagar Welfare association planted over 600 saplings along with tree guards in Bangalore South. Rain trees, Matti, Neem, Cannonball trees, Flame of the Forest, Jacaranda, Cassia, Mango, Mahogany and many other shady and flowering trees were  planted across the footpaths and open grounds. There was great enthusiasm and support for the tree planting from the residents of Minhaj Nagar and JHBCS layout. About 400 SAP Lab volunteers and students of Magnifique English School participated in planting the saplings.             Author, Educationist and Environmentalist US Moinuddin who actively took part in the event said, “Bangalore may be called as the garden city but there is still a lot of space left out in many localities where many trees can be planted.
